When should you call?
If you are planting a tree, building a fence or a deck, digging a new garden, or doing any project that requires you to dig, you must contact Ontario One Call at least five (5) business days before you begin.
Request your free locate online or by calling 1-800-400-2255.
You will need to provide:
- First & last name of property owner
- Expected date of project
- Address of property
- Estimated depth needed to dig
- Type of work/project (fence, pool, landscaping etc.)
- Method of digging (i.e. by hand, by machine)
What happens next?
Ontario One Call will notify buried infrastructure owners, including Tillsonburg Hydro Inc., that you plan to dig. Reps from each underground buried infrastructure owner will come out to mark the location of buried underground lines and cables on your property so that you can dig safely.
Why it matters
Remember, you are liable for any damage or injury caused by interfering with any buried infrastructure.
