Moving and Changing Your Address>
Are you planning on moving to a new home or relocating your business? Whether you are moving within the Town of Tillsonburg or elsewhere, it’s important to let us know so that we can bill the correct account holder for hydro usage at the property.
Moving within Tillsonburg
If you are moving to a different home or relocating your business within Tillsonburg, you will need to:
- Complete an application/contract for service at the new address and request a final meter reading at your old address.
2. Provide a security deposit (this requirement may be waived depending on your payment history)
3. Present two pieces of identification
4. Sign the new contract (in person at the Customer Service Centre)
Be sure to submit your application/contract for service at least two business days before your move.
Moving outside of Tillsonburg
We only service properties that are within the Town of Tillsonburg. If you are moving outside the community, you will need to close your customer account with us and arrange service with your new utility company.
To close your Tillsonburg Hydro customer account, please contact us at least two business days before you move to request a final meter reading, and update your billing information (i.e. forwarding address).
